The time has come to elect new members for the Mayoral and City Council positions. The General Election of Troy is set to be on November 3rd, 2015. This election will take place from 7 am to 8 pm at many locations throughout Troy.
The level of satisfaction for the previous members differs between each resident of Troy. It is now in our hands to elect the new members, to make sure we elect someone who will meet the needs of the residents for the next four years. This election is open to all Troy residents eligible to vote.
The number of people running for this term’s mayor position makes it quite obvious who is going to be our future mayor, but that does not make the decision for the city council members any less difficult. The mayoral candidate is Dane Slater. The city council candidates are Dave Henderson, Steve Gottlieb, Paul McCown, Ethan Baker, Edna Abrahim, and Jim Campbell.
The last day to register to vote was October 5, 2015; however, some may have not known about the elections ahead of time. Therefore, there are still certain locations allocated to those who still have not registered. For all the registered voters, there are eighteen polling locations available. Electronic voting is only open to those who have already voted before or to those who are senior citizens with disabilities or are handicapped.
Have a great time voting!
